The RODA Theatre Gurdjieff Music Group presents the concert “SEEKERS”, a cultural event within the framework of the International Conference “Gurdjieff & Greece 2026.” 

The musical pieces to be presented are influenced by Dervish and Sayyid hymns, melodies from distant monasteries, and songs of isolated communities. The sounds dialogue with video art projections, highlighting the core objective of Gurdjieff’s work: the search for spirituality in the “here and now.”

The richness of Gurdjieff’s music covers a wide spectrum, drawing from Eastern religious traditions and hymns, as well as elements that recall modern trance and jazz. Emphatic rhythms and rich melodies dominate, offering a repertoire rooted in the folk and religious music of Central Asia, the Caucasus, and Russian Orthodox liturgical tradition. The featured works were selected from a vast legacy of over 200 compositions and 250 choreographies of “Sacred Movements” left behind by the creator.

The RODA Theatre Gurdjieff Music Group approaches these sounds by letting them breathe within their primordial and exotic freedom. Sounds of meditation, sharp intensity, and extended chanting, open, rhythmic, and mystically minimalist, stand detached and impartial, invoking higher powers. “Seekers” expands beyond the originally transcribed piano notation. It explores the musical traditions Gurdjieff discovered during his travels and rearranges the compositions through the lens of inner development.

The “Seekers” concert has previously been presented with great success in Athens and Thessaloniki, at venues such as the Megaron Athens Concert Hall, the ACS Theater, and the French Institute of Greece. In 2013, the musical material was released as a self-titled album by 3A Records.
